Back to Normal-Finally!

For at least a month, longer it seems, my little girl has been sick with something. I wish I was joking, however I'm not. If it wasn't a head cold, it was a stomach bug, or allergies, sinus infection, pink eye because of high congestion, etc. She has been sick everyday since March 1. Lucky for Klep, we're probably single handedly keeping him in business. So forgive my pessimism when I expected her to wake up with pneumonia this morning. Thankfully she woke up without any form of sickness!!! FINALLY!!!! This morning was amazing, running around, screaming, baked cookies (then proceeded to eat most of them), trashed my recently clean living room etc all while laughing. Not just any laughing though, deep belly laughs that are completely contagious. Those are the best kinds of laughs, don't you agree? Having a healthy kid, even for one day, has brought a sense of peace under the month's worth of energy.
Speaking of peace, another favorite event of mine happened briefly today. We got some rain! I love rain, everything about it. The smell mixed with fresh cut green grass, two scents that will never be replicated, the cold splashes when barefeet walk haphazardly across the pavement, and the immediate peace that is instilled everywhere. No matter what this evening brings, this morning provided some much needed laughing and peace.
